James “Jim” Snowden is a dedicated volunteer who has been volunteering at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System over seven years. Jim was named the volunteer of the month for November. Learn more about him below.

What area(s) do you volunteer: Admissions

Why did you choose to volunteer at Morristown-Hamblen? To try to help people who are dealing with medical issues. I had seen the happiness my wife got from being a volunteer.

Where are you from? Greene County

What is a random fact or talent about yourself? I loved bowling until my joints forced me to quit. I enjoy puzzles and games such as Rook and Bridge.

If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be? My wife

What is your favorite food? Country ham

What is your favorite TV show or movie? I enjoy a good western movie and the Lawrence Welk Show.

What is your greatest accomplishment? College graduation and raising a family.

Would you choose a free trip or money? Free trip to England, London in particular.

What is your favorite childhood memory? Playing baseball and basketball with community friends.
