Posted on April 2, 2020

At Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System, we honor our staff who provide extraordinary care with The MAPLE Award, a locally created recognition program that celebrates the compassion and skills our staff bring to patients and families every day. Mackenize Hipshire received the MAPLE award in February.

Mackenize works at Morristown-Hamblen as a PCA in the float pool and has worked here over six months. She is from Morristown and got her CCMA through Roane State Community College.

Mackenize Hipshire

She chose to work at MHHS after hearing great things about Covenant Health and also because she wanted to make a difference in her community.

Mackenize said her inspiration for what she does is helping others. Her greatest accomplishment is accepting Jesus as her Savior. She said “I owe it all to Him.” Her goals are to get her RN license and continue her career at MHHS.

The MAPLE award was truly a surprise for Mackenize and she said she wants to continue giving her best and making a difference in the lives of her patients.

More about the MAPLE Award:

The MAPLE Award was established in 2018 by the Patient Family Partnership Council consists of patients of our hospital and their family members who have united to develop programs that further the hospital’s mission.  They created the MAPLE Award to recognize staff who are not nurses, but make a big difference in the lives of so many people.
