2021 Volunteer of the Year – Ron Blevins

Posted on May 24, 2021

Each year, there is a Volunteer of the Year voted on by staff members and fellow volunteers out of the previous year’s list of Volunteers of the Month. This year, our Volunteer of the Year is Ron Blevins. Ron has been volunteering over nine years and is very dedicated. We appreciate volunteers like Ron. Learn a little more about him below:

Ron is our Volunteer of the Year for 2021.

What area do you volunteer in? I have always worked in the day surgery waiting area since early 2012.

Why did you choose to volunteer at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System? Because of previous hospital experiences, both as a patient and visitor. I enjoyed the relationships shared with patients, family, and the caregivers.

What does this award mean to you? The recognition confirms my desire to be a good servant.

Tell us any hobbies and what you like to do in your free time? My hobbies include bicycling, woodworking, and gardening (especially with flowers).
